Dr. Matt Henes

I'm Dr. Matt. I've been teaching mathematics since 2002 and began teaching at Pasadena City College in 2008. Before coming to PCC, I taught at CSU San Bernardino, Riverside Community College, and Crafton Hills College.

I'm from Riverside, California, and attended college there, earning an Associate of Science from Riverside Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from UC Riverside. I later earned a Master of Arts in Mathematics from CSU San Bernardino. Ten years after completing that degree, I began an Educational Leadership program at UCLA, where I earned my Doctor of Education.

I started teaching because I believe I have a way of helping people understand mathematics, and I can't imagine doing anything else! My goal is to make challenging ideas clearer, help students build confidence, support them in having a successful semester, and helping them move to their next goal on their educational journeys.  

When I'm not working, I'm exercising, playing guitar, spending time with my sweetheart, or looking for something good to watch.
